How to start using Be.Live?
Support:
  1. To sign up for Be.Live, click the big "Try Now" button in the center of the homepage.
  2. To start your 14-day free trial click "Try Now" under Standard+ plan. No payment details are required! After the trial ends, you will automatically get the free plan.
  3. Click the big blue button "Continue with Facebook" and allow access to your personal profile.
  4. You are ready to start broadcasting!

What do I need in order to start using Be.Live to broadcast on YouTube?

All you need is:

  • Computer/laptop
  • Web camera
  • Facebook account(to sign up for Be.Live), Google account and a verified YouTube channel.
  • Chrome/Safari browser
  • Stable internet connection.

How to verify my YouTube account?
Support:
To go live to Youtube you will need a Google account and a Youtube Channel. Create a Google account and go to Youtube > click Sign in if your google account is not connected to Youtube.
Then please follow youtube.com/verify where you can start the verification process.

Can I have several users on one Be.Live account?
Support:
Since Be.Live account is connected to one personal Facebook profile the only way to access it is to login via this Facebook profile. Each Be.Live user will need an account, connected to their Facebook profile.

How can I log into Be.Live with another Facebook profile?
Support:
Log out of Be.Live and Facebook, first. Then log into Facebook with the needed account and log into Be.Live.

.What internet browsers can work with Be.Live?

Be.Live works in Google Chrome and Safari. Note:
- it's preferable to have the latest version of Chrome, find out how to check your version here.

Can I broadcast to several destinations simultaneously?
Support:
Currently, it is not possible to broadcast to several platforms/channels simultaneously.

What is the time limit for a broadcast?
Support:
The limit is 8 hours per broadcast.

How do I choose an external mic or camera?
Support:
In the Production Studio click on the gear icon above your camera image. Choose from the drop-down menu which external camera, mic or speakers you want to use for the broadcast.

How can I download the recording of my broadcast?
Support:
All broadcasts will be saved in the destination where you went live. To download your broadcast in HD quality from Be.Live, please, go to "My broadcasts" page in your Be.Live profile.

Is there a checklist that I can use before going live?
Support:
Here are a few things you can do before the broadcast for best results:
  1. Make sure you have the latest version of Chrome.
  2. Close all software or apps that use the camera.
  3. Close unnecessary tabs and apps.
  4. Clear your cache.
  5. Earbuds/headphones are recommended for both host and guests to avoid echo and feedback.
  6. Direct Internet connection is usually stronger than Wi-Fi, but no worries Wi-Fi also works
  7. Try avoiding downloading and uploading files while streaming.

    Can I schedule a broadcast on YouTube using Be.Live?

    We don't offer this feature just yet.

    Do you have a remote assistance option?
    Support:
    You can control the broadcast from mobile device or your assistant can do it for you using laptop/desktop or mobile phone. Set up the needed sources in the studio and copy the special remote assistant link that you can share.

    How do I add my custom logo?
    Support:
    1. Click on Edit Appearance > Logo > Add logo
    2. Locate the logo in your computer then click "Open".
    3. Click on logo and see what it looks like on the broadcast in the Preview window. If you are satisfied - press Apply so your logo appears on the broadcast :)
    Make sure you optimize your logo for the right dimensions: 160x160.
    It can be png, jpg, jpeg or gif format, maximum size -
    15mb

    How do I choose a theme and my custom colors?
    Support:
    1. Click on Edit Appearance and choose "Theme" at the top.
    2. You will be able to select either Modern or Classic theme.
    3. Once you made up your mind, click "Apply".
    4. While using the Classic theme you can also choose your branding colors.
    5. Click on "Edit colors" button that you see on the bottom.
    6. Choose the Background and Text colors by entering a specific Hex code or by clicking on the color wheel.
    7. Press "Done" to proceed.

    How do I upload a custom overlay?
    Support:
    1. Click on Edit Appearance and choose "Overlay".
    2. Choose default ones or press on "Add overlay" to upload your custom one.
    3. To upload your own choose a 1280x720 transparent png or gif file from your computer.
    4. Click "Apply".

    How do I show comments on the broadcast screen?
    Support:
    1. Once you are live and you see the comments in the panel on the right .
    2. You'll be able to display the ones you like by clicking on the eye icon next to the comment.
    3. If you want to show another comment, click on the icon and the previous comment will automatically be replaced with the new comment.
    4. Click on the eye icon second time if you want to hide the current comment, it will disappear.
    Please, note you won`t be able to show the comments made under the post with your video, only comments from Top Chat will appear in the studio.

    What are Title and Crawler?
    Support:
    You can write updates during the broadcast and show them on screen or prepare your agenda in advance with Be.Live! You can show updates in a form of Titles or Crawlers.
    Title is a fixed text update and Crawler looks like a news ticker.

    What is the Agenda feature and how to use it?
    Support:
    The Agenda feature serves as your talking points during the broadcast.
    To set up an agenda:
    1. Click the "Agenda" button in the studio.
    2. Enter the Agenda Title.
    3. Type in the Agenda Items. Use "Add Item" to add another agenda point.
    4. Click on "Start" to show the first agenda item on the screen. You can also click on the arrow icon or "Show Item" display text on your broadcast.
    5. "Hide Item" would remove the agenda from the screen

    How do I upload media to my broadcast?
    Support:
    1. Click "Add Media".
    2. Select "Upload Media"/"Import from Facebook"
    3. Locate the image or a video in your computer then click "Open"/You can select the Facebook album where the image is located.
    4. The file that you selected will now be on staging.
    5. Click "Show in Stream" at the top right of the image to add it to the broadcast.

    How do I share my screen?
    Support:
    1. "Click "Share screen" button in the left panel.
    2. If you haven't installed the Be.Live Chrome extension yet, it will ask you to add it.
    3. Once installed, a popup will appear. Choose "Your Entire Screen", "Application Window." or "Google Chrome Tab". To use sharing of an application window, please, make sure your Google Chrome window is not open full-screen.
    4. Click on "Share" and then move the source broadcasting area by clicking "Show in Stream".

    Does screen share include sharing sound?
    Support:
    At the moment screen sharing with sound is possible:
    • On Mac in Chrome Tab
    • On Windows in Chrome Tab and Entire Screen
    But to speak over the shared screen, make sure to add your camera to the broadcast to activate your mic in the stream. If you don't want to be seen, you can use audio only feature or the solo button.

    Absolutely, you can use the screen share feature and display your presentation.

    What is Live Shopping?
    Support:
    It's a great tool that will help you advertise your products during the live show.
    First, you need to send a message to our support to enable this feature.
    1. Click on the Live Shopping icon.
    2. Click "Add New List" to create your list of items.
    3. Upload a picture of the item from your computer and add Name, Price and Description.
    4. Push your item to the staging or create another item.

    Can I record without going live?
    Support:
    Yes, if you want to use Be.Live features, but don't want to go live, you can just record a video:
    1. Go to the Be.Live Studio and press on "Set destination".
    2. Pick Offline Recording as the destination for your broadcast.
    3. Add sources that you need. You can connect your camera, set up a screen share, add guests, share a photo and much more!
    4. Press Record button to start recording. Use the same button to stop the recording.
    5. Download the video in mp4 format in your Be.Live profile

    What is the celebrate button?

    We celebrate your milestones with us, you get a chance to invite others and send them a link to test out Be.Live for 30 days!
    Once you click the button, your viewers will see a short presentation showcasing your achievements and milestones with Be.Live. This is perfect in making your show more colorful and to entice your viewers to start their own Be.Live journey.

    How can I add a guest to the broadcast?
    Support:
    1. Create a broadcast.
    2. In broadcast studio find the "Add Guest" icon on the left panel.
    3. Hover the mouse to that section and option to "Copy Link" will be displayed.
    4. Now the link is in your clipboard and you can paste it anywhere you want: to the message in Messenger, Facebook wall, email etc. to share with your guests.

    Do guests need to have Be.Live account as well?

    No, to join a broadcast your guest will need to login via Facebook/Google account and use Chrome or Safari browser. In case a guest is joining via mobile device they will also need to have the Be.Live app installed.

      My guest's camera does not connect. What should they do?
      Support:
      Please, make sure your guest has the latest version of Chrome. Ask them to clear their cache and check their camera and audio here https://test.webrtc.org/, reboot their computer, and try again.

      How many guests can join a show?
      Support:
      Up to four people can be on the screen(+2 guests joining with audio only can be in the broadcast), and an unlimited amount of people can join and wait in the staging area so you can rotate guests on screen during the broadcast. Beware, if you are using screen share or adding media features, it takes away one place on the broadcast.

      Yes, the guests can share their screen.

      Yes, guests can see comments on their side if they join using a computer.

      Do you have any checklist that I can send my guest?
      Support:
      Sure, here it is!
      1. To join a broadcast as a guest you have to have a Facebook profile.
      2. Please, use updated Google Chrome/Safari browser or (if you are connecting via mobile/tablet device) download and install the Be.Live app (Android https://goo.gl/gzUrwM; iOS https://goo.gl/p1LCfS)
      3. Make sure you have a stable internet connection.
      4. You may want to clear cache and close all unnecessary tabs and programs on your device. Some programs may run in the background even when they seem to be closed, so consider using Task Manager or rebooting your device.
      5. Follow the link you received from the host to join the broadcast (click "Open in App" for mobile devices or "Connect Camera" for PC/laptop).
      6. Note, that on PC/laptop you can test your camera and mic before you click "connect camera". Click the gear button to open the settings window.
      7. Enjoy the broadcast!

      Can I do a test broadcast before going live?
      Support:
      Yes, if you want to test the features and connect with the guest, you can open the studio and try it all without starting a stream. Or you can record the show without posting it, using the Offline Recording destination.
      Also, you can set up your Stream Privacy level to "Private" or "Unlisted", so the broadcast will be posted, but only you will see it.

      What are Stream Privacy levels?

      You can choose between 3 privacy settings for each of your broadcasts:

      • Public (broadcast can be seen by anyone on Youtube)
      • Private ( broadcast can be seen by you and the people you choose)
      • Unlisted ( broadcast can be seen and shared by anyone with the link. Your unlisted videos won't appear to others who visit the "Videos" tab of your channel page. They won't show up in YouTube's search results unless someone adds your unlisted video to a public playlist)

      Can I broadcast with a DSLR?
      Support:
      Be.Live supports cameras that can connect to Chrome as a webcam. As long as you can connect the DSLR camera as a webcam device, then it will be available for Be.Live.

      Can I host a show on my phone or tablet?
      Support:
      You are required to host a broadcast on computer or laptop, but your guests can join via the Android or iOS app as well as computer/laptop.

      We also have a Remote Assistant feature that allows you to control the broadcast from a mobile device or your assistant can do it for you using laptop/desktop or mobile phone. Set up the needed sources in the studio and copy the special remote assistant link that you can share.

      Why do I have an audio delay/poor quality of a broadcast?
      Support:
      Such issues may be caused by internet speed and machine load. We recommend making sure you do not download any software and do not have too many tabs open, as well as to shut down all the unnecessary software that can load operational memory of the computer.
      Also, the resolution of the video will depend mainly on your internet upload speed.

      Why is there an echo on my broadcast?
      Support:
      Echo is caused when one person's voice is heard through another person's microphone. It is recommended for the host and guests to wear a headset, to avoid the sound from reaching the microphone. A good rule to remember: If you hear the echo, then it's NOT coming from your system. The person causing the echo DOES NOT hear the echo.

        After the trial ends you will be automatically downgraded to the free basic plan with limited features and won't be charged. Also, you can choose to subscribe to monthly or yearly paid plans.

        If none of the current paid plans suit your needs and you want to continue using Be.Live, you can choose the free option. You'll be able to do 3 broadcasts per month. Customization and other features such as multiple guests and offline recording won't be available with the free Be.Live account.

        What is included in the free plan?
        Support:
        You'll be able to do 3 live broadcasts per month. You can have one guest at a time, use screenshare feature, add media, display viewer's comments and use agenda items.

        Can I pay using my credit/debit card?

        Currently, Be.Live only accepts payments via Paypal.
        BeLiver:
        How can I add my promo code?
        Support:
        Once you choose the paid plan and are redirected to the PayPal page, you will need to log into or create a new PayPal account, then choose the card that will be billed for the plan and click "Agree&Continue". Next step, enter the promo code, hit "Apply" and make the purchase.

        Can I cancel any time?

        Yes, you can decide to cancel your account at any time. Once you cancel, you won't be charged any longer.
        Note, that you can receive a refund only during cool-off period (up to 14 days of not using a platform right after the purchase)

        Will I receive an invoice for my payment?

        We send invoices in 14 days after your purchase. You will receive your invoices on the PayPal email address. Also, you can download them in your Be.Live profile in the billing section.
